• Drivers are paying highest gas prices of the year, AAA says
by Emon Reiser
4 May 2015 at 6:31am
Drivers are paying more at the pump than they have all year. The national average price for regular gas rose to $2.62, up 59 cents compared to this year's low of $2.03 recorded in late January, according to data from AAA.
The rising cost of crude oil is to blame, said AAA spokesman Josh Carrasco.
"Although prices are at their highest level of the year, they are still more than a dollar cheaper than this time last year," he said in a news release.
